Hakeem is the Founder & CEO of Hydrocarbon Advisors Limited (HAL). He has garnered over 33 years of Corporate/Investment Banking & Strategy Consulting experience, working exclusively with O&G corporations in Africa & Europe. Of these, 27years have been spent originating and executing Financial Advisory, Debt & Equity Raising, Restructuring, M&A mandates for National Oil Companies, IOCs, and medium-sized indigenous oil and gas companies in Nigeria.

While in Citibank, Hakeem led the Energy team which pioneered several of the lending structures currently being deployed in Nigerian Oil & Gas financing.

In FCMB, Hake em also led the Corporate Bank and all the Oil & Gas Investment Banking activities (Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Advisory & IPO) of the group companies, including FCMB bank, CSL Stockbroking, and FCMB London. He was retained by the Federal Government of Nigeria (DPR), as Sell-side Advisor on the Marginal Field round in 2013

Hakeem is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona.

Dragan leads the HAL UK team. He is a Senior Research Analyst, and an award-winning Modeller and Valuation Expert. His experience includes; Critiquing and analyzing existing cashflow models, Independent model building, Evaluation of commercial terms including asset fiscal regimes and providing alternatives where necessary, Valuation using peer analysis and market comparables, Oil, Gas & Power sector analysis.

As Vice President, Equity Research Analyst with Renaissance Capital where he led the Africa-focused O&G team which included valuation of several individual companies in, as well as the Nigerian O&G sector, including valuation reports on the assets that were part of the first Shell divestitures in 2010. In Nigeria, he has lent his valuation expertise to the major indigenous Oil & Gas companies which include Seplat, Lekoil, Afren, Frontier Oil, and Oando.

Dragan is a chartered member of the CFA. He also holds an MBA, with a concentration in Finance (Investments and Portfolio Management), and an MSc in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Kansas, USA.
